Senior Associate – Funds Solicitor

About the role

Our client, an international law firm in Dublin 2, is seeking a Funds Senior Associate Solicitor. You will advise a diverse client base on a wide range of funds‑related matters, from structuring to regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on structuring and establishment of private equity, hedge, venture capital and real‑estate funds, including limited partnerships and ICAVs.
• Prepare and review fund documentation to ensure compliance with investor expectations and market standards.
• Conduct legal research on regulatory frameworks such as AIFMD, European securities law and local regulations.
• Assist with applications for regulatory authorisation by the Central Bank of Ireland for AIFMs, fund administrators and MiFID firms.
• Provide legal support for debt issuance vehicles and related capital‑markets matters.
• Deliver strategic advice on fund governance, fiduciary duties, operational best practices and fund terms.
• Support clients through fund transactions, including M&A, restructurings and due‑diligence.
• Collaborate with internal teams, fund managers, investors and regulators; contribute to business development and knowledge sharing.
• Record and bill time accurately, keep clients informed of fees, and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in funds law.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex fund structures and regulatory matters.
• Strong client‑facing skills and experience mentoring trainees and associates.
