Senior Buyer – Ethical/Rx Medicines

About the role

We are looking for a senior Buyer to manage the commercial performance of an ethical medicines portfolio within NaviNavi Group, one of Ireland’s leading pharmacy services businesses. You will own a product category – generics, branded or unlicensed medicines – and be the primary commercial contact for its suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day commercial performance of the assigned category, including rebate income, margin, price competitiveness, range and supplier mix.
• Deliver on annual rebate and margin targets, monitoring results month‑on‑month.
• Act as the lead commercial point of contact for all suppliers, building trusted long‑term relationships.
• Lead supplier negotiations such as annual terms reviews, rebate agreements and new product introductions.
• Use commercial data, market intelligence and supplier insight to identify savings, commercial opportunities and supply‑continuity risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams across Ethical, OTC, Pricing, Commercial Analytics, International Wholesale, Customer Service, Operations and Finance.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of progressive buying, procurement or commercial experience with direct ownership of supplier relationships and commercial outcomes.
• Proven track record of achieving rebate, margin or commercial income targets in a B2C, retail, wholesale or pharmacy‑services environment.
• Experience leading day‑to‑day supplier negotiations, including annual terms reviews.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability to interpret supplier data, market trends and pricing dynamics.
• Knowledge of medicinal and healthcare products.
