Senior Category Marketing Manager

About the role

The Senior Category Marketing Manager will translate the category strategy into an integrated marketing plan that drives demand, engagement and commercial performance. Working closely with the Head of Category Marketing and senior buying and merchandising partners, you will own the planning process and ensure coherent, high‑quality execution across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and management of an integrated category marketing plan, aligning growth ambitions with campaigns, launches and trading moments.
• Maintain a single view of priorities, investment and delivery, recommending sequencing and trade‑offs based on customer value and commercial opportunity.
• Design and execute integrated campaign strategies that connect product, customer and trading priorities across the full journey.
• Set clear briefs, provide strategic direction to channel, specialist and agency teams, and ensure consistent, distinctive experiences.
• Act as the senior marketing partner to Buying, Merchandising and Trading teams, using insight to identify demand opportunities and mitigate performance risks.
• Lead cross‑functional planning across Digital, CRM, Brand, Creative, Media, Social, PR, Retail and Analytics, establishing ownership, timelines and governance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior marketer with strong creative and strategic judgement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross‑functional programmes and multi‑million‑pound campaigns from brief to delivery.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, working with senior buying, merchandising and trading partners.
• Ability to adapt plans quickly in response to performance data, business needs and emerging opportunities.
