Senior Company Accountant

About the role

The Connacht Hospitality Group is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to take full ownership of the finance function for its busiest business unit. You will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining robust controls in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and balance‑sheet reconciliations to strict deadlines.
• Partner with General Managers to support financial management and achievement of group targets.
• Lead the annual budgeting process aligned with strategic objectives.
• Prepare and maintain weekly cash‑flow forecasts for operational planning.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage creditor reconciliations and the purchasing system administration.
• Monitor and strengthen internal controls, identifying risks and implementing improvements.
• Deliver financial reports to support management decision‑making and performance analysis.
• Analyse costs, identify efficiency opportunities, and support the annual audit process.
• Ensure compliance with Revenue requirements and statutory obligations.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in a busy commercial finance function or practice.
• Proven ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Hospitality sector experience is a strong advantage.
