Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Platform & Automation

About the role

Amach is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its Platform Engineering team. You will help evolve a cloud‑native environment, focusing on infrastructure automation, containerisation and platform reliability for aviation‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Lead migration of containerised applications to AWS ECS.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Configure monitoring, alerting and observability using Datadog.
• Partner with software engineering teams to streamline deployments.
• Embed security, resilience and operational best practices across the platform.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues while driving long‑term improvements.

Required profile

• 3+ years in a Senior Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer or DevOps role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS, including highly available and resilient designs.
• Proven experience with AWS ECS and container‑based workloads.
• Commercial experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience implementing and managing Datadog monitoring.
• Solid scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
• Good understanding of cloud and container security best practices.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across engineering teams in an Agile environment.
