Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Amach is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation and operation of cloud‑based infrastructure for its airline customers. The role combines tactical excellence with strategic influence over the technology roadmap, focusing on AWS, automation and high‑availability solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain a multi‑site production infrastructure on AWS, ensuring resilience, performance and security.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and scripting languages.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git) and support continuous delivery.
• Monitor systems with tools such as Elastic Stack, Grafana and Nagios, and perform root‑cause analysis of incidents.
• Manage backup, disaster recovery and on‑call rotation for 24×7 services.

Required profile

• Proven experience with AWS cloud services and migration projects.
• Strong background in Linux and Windows administration, performance tuning and security hardening.
• Hands‑on expertise with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible) and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and virtualization (ESXi, vCenter).
• Understanding of agile development, CI/CD, networking (TCP/IP, DNS) and monitoring solutions.
