Senior Director, Head of Global S&OP & Resilience

About the role

Alexion is building a global leader in rare diseases and seeks a Senior Director to lead Global Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) and supply‑chain resilience for its Rare Disease unit. The role will synchronize demand forecasts, production capacity and inventory across more than 100 countries, ensuring patients receive medicines reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise‑wide Global S&OP process, providing a single, aligned view of demand, supply and inventory.
• Define, track and refine KPIs that measure S&OP effectiveness and drive cross‑functional alignment.
• Design and own the S&OP annual calendar, linking operational plans to long‑term business objectives.
• Create standardized templates and governance materials for all Global S&OP meetings.
• Integrate S&OP with financial planning processes (LTP, MTP, Phased Budget).
• Develop and execute an Integrated Business Planning (IBP) roadmap to elevate governance.
• Identify AI and automation opportunities within S&OP and embed them in the roadmap.
• Facilitate executive S&OP forums, presenting demand‑supply plans, risks and opportunities.
• Define a long‑term global supply‑chain risk strategy that includes sustainability and resilience.
• Represent supply‑chain in enterprise risk‑management forums and drive innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading global S&OP or Integrated Business Planning functions.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance and Commercial teams.
• Ability to translate complex global challenges into clear, decisive actions.
• Experience shaping supply‑chain risk strategies and driving sustainability initiatives.
