Senior Full Stack Java Engineer

About the role

Miratech, a global IT services and consulting company, is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Dublin to design, develop and support scalable cloud-native applications powering Workforce Management (WFM), Customer Experience (CX) and operational business processes. The role suits a hands-on engineer who takes features from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment and production support.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable backend services with Java, Spring Boot and established software engineering practices.
• Build modern web applications with React, TypeScript, reusable components and accessible interactions.
• Develop and consume REST APIs with an API-first approach, maintaining OpenAPI/Swagger contracts and error handling.
• Use microservices, object-oriented and event-driven patterns, and Node.js where appropriate for lightweight services or integrations.
• Design and optimise PostgreSQL data models and queries, and build integrations via REST, webhooks and messaging.
• Containerise applications and help with cloud deployment, configuration management and environment consistency.
• Maintain Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and quality gates.
• Instrument applications with logging, metrics, tracing and error reporting, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, Architecture and other engineers through design sessions, code reviews and planning.

Required profile

• 6+ years of full-stack development experience, including ownership of production applications.
• Strong hands-on Java and Spring experience, especially Spring Boot, REST services, persistence, security and automated testing.
• Solid frontend experience with Angular or React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, component-based design, state management and modern testing.
• Proven experience with REST APIs, microservices and distributed applications.
• Excellent communication skills, including technical documentation and leading client-facing workshops.
• Nice to have: WFM, CX or contact centre experience, AWS and Amazon Connect, CRM/HR/payroll integrations, and knowledge of forecasting, scheduling, adherence or routing.
