Senior Internal Auditor – Europe (Dublin)

About the role

We are partnering with a large international organisation to hire a Senior Internal Auditor for its European Internal Audit team. Based in Dublin with a hybrid schedule (2‑3 days in the office), the role offers extensive exposure to multiple business units across Europe and occasional travel to North America and Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute operational and financial audits across the group.
• Evaluate internal controls, risk management and governance frameworks.
• Identify improvement areas and deliver practical, value‑adding recommendations.
• Support SOX and other compliance‑related reviews.
• Contribute to special projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or comparable experience.
• Background in internal audit or a large accounting/advisory firm.
• Experience with SOX, internal controls, risk or compliance.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Professional, proactive and adaptable attitude.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally (≈25% of time).
