Senior Manager - VAT Consulting (Indirect Tax)

About the role

PwC’s VAT team in Dublin is seeking a Senior Manager to lead consulting engagements across a range of industries. The role involves delivering VAT advisory services, supporting tax‑authority interactions, and driving digital transformation for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple VAT consulting engagements, ensuring delivery within budget and timeline.
• Provide VAT consulting, audit defence, and tax‑authority intervention services to Irish PLCs, multinationals, semi‑state bodies and large private firms.
• Develop and implement VAT function improvement and optimisation initiatives, leveraging technology solutions.
• Stay abreast of changes in VAT legislation, case law and policy updates across jurisdictions.
• Coach and mentor team members, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives within the practice and for client projects.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in VAT consulting and indirect tax advisory.
• Proven ability to manage complex engagements and client relationships.
• Strong business acumen across multiple sectors (digital, fintech, pharma, retail, etc.).
• Leadership skills with a focus on coaching and team development.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and technical excellence.
