Senior Payroll Administrator (Part‑Time)

About the role

A well‑established Northern Ireland business is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join its finance team on a part‑time basis, based at its headquarters in the Crumlin area.

Key responsibilities

• Processing weekly and monthly payrolls, including new starters, leavers, statutory payments and pension auto‑enrolment.
• Managing payroll and time‑and‑attendance queries, creating BACS files and ensuring approvals within deadlines.
• Submitting payroll returns, pension contributions and statutory payments accurately and on time.
• Completing year‑end processes such as P11D reporting and maintaining up‑to‑date payroll records.
• Acting as the primary contact for employee payroll queries and supporting payroll reporting and analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience in a high‑volume, computerised payroll environment handling both weekly and monthly runs.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, statutory payments and HMRC requirements.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Proactive, solution‑focused approach and confidence to liaise with multiple departments.
