Senior PHP Developer (Remote, Ireland)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Engineer to join a leading e‑commerce company on a 7‑month contract. The role is fully remote but requires the candidate to be based in Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full‑stack applications across backend and frontend technologies.
• Contribute to mission‑critical platforms that support global transaction processing, financial operations, reporting, and compliance.
• Take ownership of technical solutions from design through implementation and production deployment.
• Participate in architecture discussions and help shape end‑to‑end system design.

Required profile

• Strong experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
• Commercial experience developing applications using JavaScript and PHP.
• Hands‑on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Solid understanding of system architecture and end‑to‑end solution design.
• Experience working in collaborative engineering environments with frequent peer reviews.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
• Interest or experience in digital commerce, payments, fintech, or SaaS environments.
