Senior Procurement Manager

About the role

JCI is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead and develop its procurement function as its global business grows. This is a high-impact leadership role shaping sourcing strategy, strengthening supplier partnerships and driving value across direct and indirect spend. You will lead a team of procurement professionals and work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance and Product Development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a global procurement strategy aligned with business objectives and new product introductions.
• Lead sourcing and category management across direct materials, components, subcontractors and selected indirect spend.
• Drive cost optimisation, supplier performance, supply continuity and risk management.
• Lead procurement on key projects, from concept and supplier selection through to implementation and scale-up.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and lead complex commercial and contract negotiations.
• Develop and coach a high-performing procurement team.
• Deliver measurable cost savings using a total cost of ownership approach.
• Represent procurement in cross-functional and leadership forums, ensuring governance, compliance and stakeholder engagement.
• Leverage ERP and procurement systems to monitor spend, supplier performance and business outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of procurement experience in a global manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
• Proven success in developing and implementing strategic sourcing and procurement strategies.
• Strong supplier relationship management, contract negotiation and project-based procurement experience.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen managing significant spend and proven people leadership experience.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.

Preferred qualifications

• CIPS or equivalent professional procurement qualification.
• Experience supporting multi-site or global manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of NPI programmes, complex supply chains, stage-gate project delivery and ERP/procurement systems such as SAP.
