Senior Product Specialist – SME Partner Enablement

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Product Specialist to lead the onboarding of SME partners, helping them bring new payment products to market quickly and confidently. You will act as the primary point of contact for partners and internal product teams, ensuring a smooth transition from concept to launch while managing risk and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end onboarding delivery for a defined portfolio of SME partners, from initiation through approval and launch readiness.
• Serve as the main onboarding liaison for SME product teams and external partners.
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and cross‑functional blockers, resolving issues before they escalate.
• Guide partners through onboarding, remediation, and documentation requirements, providing clear guidance at each step.
• Identify recurring friction points and recommend standardisation, simplification, or automation.
• Create and maintain onboarding playbooks, templates, and FAQs to improve consistency and scalability.
• Provide clear, data‑driven updates and insights to leadership.
• Mentor junior Product Specialists to raise execution quality and operational maturity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in product operations, partner enablement, risk, compliance, sourcing, or related functions.
• Proven ability to work with partners of varying size, complexity, and sophistication.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
