Senior Python Software Engineer – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a senior Python Software Engineer to join a leading global bank’s technology team in Dublin on a 6‑month rolling contract. You will design and develop web‑based Python solutions that address complex risk and finance business challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise‑scale Python applications for risk management and finance divisions.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and development colleagues to deliver best‑in‑class solutions.
• Work within agile, globally distributed teams, continuously improving processes and exploring new technologies.
• Develop and support micro‑service architectures and RESTful APIs.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional Python development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with micro‑services, API frameworks and design patterns.
• Proficiency with at least one major enterprise web framework (Django, FastAPI, Flask).
• Strong understanding of ORM tools such as SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible) and containerisation.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and problem‑solving abilities.

What we offer

• 6‑month rolling contract with a competitive daily rate of €500‑€600, based on experience.
