Senior Quality Controller – Food Manufacturing

About the role

The Senior Quality Controller will join the Quality team at a high‑volume, regulated food manufacturing site in County Monaghan. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will ensure that product quality and food safety standards are consistently met across production.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine quality checks, hygiene inspections and GMP audits on the shop floor.
• Verify compliance with HACCP, BRCGS, statutory and customer specifications.
• Investigate non‑conformances and customer complaints, supporting corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor quality KPIs and contribute to continuous‑improvement projects.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist with staff training and help maintain the site’s Quality Management System.
• Provide flexible support to additional sites when required.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS and Quality Management Systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Full clean driving licence and own transport.
