Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

About the role

AMCS builds intelligent, cloud-based SaaS solutions powered by AI and data, helping customers optimise routes, manage recycling and improve compliance. It is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop, enhance and maintain its environmental software products within a team of developers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain environmental software products according to agreed requirements and designs
• Work in a team of software developers using the latest versions of Microsoft .NET
• Contribute to the specification, development and testing of software solutions to defined standards
• Deliver software development projects as a stand-alone developer or as part of internal agile and outsourced teams
• Develop and deliver project updates to senior management

Required profile

• 5-10 years of experience in an IT environment specialising in software development is a distinct advantage
• Good communication skills and ability to work with customers, colleagues, suppliers and third parties
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Nice to have: passion for open-source technologies, Aspire, front-end skills in TypeScript and Angular or Blazor, and a degree in Computer Science or Software Development

• Relational databases (Postgres and Azure SQL used)
• C#, object-oriented design and development
• Web and web service security
• Unit testing and basic knowledge of Kubernetes
