Senior Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to lead our tax function within a fast‑growing professional services firm. This role offers the chance to shape tax strategy, mentor junior staff, and provide high‑level advisory services on complex transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Assume a leadership position within the tax team and guide its strategic direction.
• Support the formulation of responses to domestic and international tax policy developments.
• Finalize positions on complex technical tax matters.
• Oversee and mentor less experienced team members.
• Lead training and professional development initiatives for junior staff.
• Deliver senior‑level advisory services on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, securitisation, financing arrangements, real estate, and tax disputes.

Required profile

• 5‑6 years of post‑qualification experience (PQQE) in a practice, legal or financial services environment.
• CTA qualification (Chartered Tax Advisor).
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Strong communication, presentation, project coordination and time‑management abilities.
• Adaptable, proactive and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting.
• Commercially astute with a solid understanding of business drivers.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior colleagues.
