Senior Windows System Engineer – M365 & Entra (12‑month contract)

About the role

Our client, a large enterprise, is looking for a Senior Windows System Engineer on a 12‑month day‑rate contract. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting a complex Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environment that spans multiple tenants and serves a large user base.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services across several tenants.
• Manage Entra ID identity lifecycle, access governance and Conditional Access policies.
• Configure Microsoft Teams, including Enterprise Voice and collaboration features.
• Support Exchange Online, mail flow, tenant configuration and migrations.
• Maintain SharePoint Online governance and collaboration settings.
• Deploy and manage endpoint compliance and configuration through Microsoft Intune.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on hybrid/on‑prem integrations.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph APIs.
• Contribute to security, compliance and governance initiatives across Microsoft cloud platforms.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of senior‑level experience in Microsoft infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Proven track record administering Microsoft 365 and Entra ID in enterprise‑scale, multi‑tenant environments.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance and governance within Microsoft ecosystems.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Relevant third‑level qualification in IT, Computer Science or related field; Microsoft certifications a plus.
