Shipping & Receiving Co-Ordinator

About the role

The Shipping & Receiving Co‑Ordinator will coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, timely deliveries, and compliance with health and safety standards. This position supports tooling, stores, and production teams within a dynamic automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with tooling for all incoming and outgoing shipment requirements.
• Request quotations, create purchase requisitions, and obtain approvals for outbound shipments.
• Prepare delivery notes and commercial invoices; liaise with carriers to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Expedite deliveries, update internal departments, and verify received materials in the CMS system.
• Manage consumable stores, set minimum/maximum levels, and trigger re‑stock via purchase requisitions.
• Load and unload transports in compliance with health & safety regulations.
• Move deliveries from the stores area to the point of use as needed.
• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to 5S housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Forklift licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and accurate record‑keeping.
• Experience in a similar logistics or shipping role is an advantage.
• Awareness of WHMIS, fire‑extinguisher, TE‑specific, and ISO 14001 safety procedures.

Required skills

• Forklift operation licence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using a Content Management System (CMS) for receipt tracking.
• Knowledge of WHMIS safety standards.
• Fire extinguisher handling training.
• TE‑specific training.
• Basic understanding of ISO 14001 environmental standards.
