Shunter – Yard Vehicle Operator

About the role
Join DFDF's critical infrastructure team as a Shunter, ensuring smooth and safe yard operations across Europe. Working weekdays from 13:30 to 22:00, you will keep the flow of vehicles and trailers moving efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Safely manoeuvre vehicles and trailers around the yard.
- Carry out basic vehicle inspections and follow safety protocols.
- Couple and uncouple trailers according to site procedures.
- Use approved hand signals and communication methods to coordinate movements.
- Report any issues or defects promptly to supervisors.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience in a controlled yard environment.
- Strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and clear communication.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast‑paced setting.
