Site Supervisor

About the role

ESS is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead the day‑to‑day activities of its Maintenance Technicians at a client manufacturing site. The role ensures that maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily and weekly work of maintenance technicians to meet production goals.
• Provide adequate shift support for the Manufacturing Department at all times.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and cGMP regulations.
• Implement Lean tools and best‑practice systems to improve team performance.
• Analyse plant downtime, develop improvement action plans and increase equipment uptime.
• Coordinate with all departments to schedule downtime for maintenance, training and projects.
• Maintain accurate shift rosters, manage leave and ensure continuous coverage.
• Lead investigations, raise deviations, manage change controls and close out CAPA.
• Write and update SOPs, policies and maintain training records for new equipment.
• Use the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to report KPIs and track work orders.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising maintenance teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to foster a safety‑first mindset.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and experience developing improvement plans.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with engineering, production and EHS departments.
• Ability to manage shift schedules and ensure consistent coverage.
