Social Media & Marketing Executive

About the role

The Business Improvement District for Dublin city centre is looking for a creative, energetic and digitally native Social Media & Marketing Executive. You will become the digital voice of Dublin, producing engaging content that showcases the city, promotes member businesses and drives footfall.

Key responsibilities

• Create and publish engaging content on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
• Develop creative campaigns that highlight Dublin city centre and attract visitors.
• Produce original photography and short‑form video, including behind‑the‑scenes and event coverage.
• Stay current with social media trends and emerging formats, bringing fresh ideas to the team.
• Engage actively with the online community and respond to comments.
• Collaborate with member businesses to identify and execute content opportunities.
• Design graphics and branded assets using Canva or similar tools.
• Write compelling captions, short‑form copy and marketing messages.
• Support wider marketing activities, events and campaigns while maintaining a consistent brand voice.

Required profile

• Passionate about social media and Dublin’s culture.
• Instinctive understanding of Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
• Strong visual eye for photography, video and storytelling.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and thrive in a fast‑paced, small‑team environment.
• Enthusiastic, energetic and able to generate fresh ideas.

Required skills

• Experience creating photo and video content.
• Ability to edit short‑form video for social media.
• Copywriting and caption‑writing skills.
