Software Engineer – API & Cloud (Hybrid, Dublin/Letterkenny)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain API‑driven microservices in a cloud‑native environment. The role focuses on building scalable healthcare solutions on Azure, leveraging modern development practices and AI‑assisted tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and microservices using Java and Python.
• Build scalable, resilient distributed systems deployed in Azure.
• Integrate data using Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and Apache Kafka.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform for provisioning and deployment.
• Apply secure development practices, including authentication, authorization, and secrets management.
• Monitor application health, support production environments, and use observability tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software.
• Utilize AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to improve productivity.
• Participate in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and operational support.

Required profile

• 6–7 years of overall IT experience, with 4–5 years in software engineering.
• Strong background in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud‑native architectures.
• Experience in the healthcare domain (mandatory) and preferably HEDIS.
• Proven ability to work in Agile development environments.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
