Software Engineer - Backend (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Engineer to join a leading global IT services firm on a contract basis. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while building and maintaining high‑performance backend systems that power critical applications for worldwide users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services using modern frameworks.
• Implement and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for global traffic.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
• Debug and resolve production issues with a focus on uptime.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development with Python, Java or Go.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable working in a remote, cross‑functional team environment.
