Staff Nurse / Enhanced Nurse – Community Services

About the role

Join Corlann’s West Region as a Staff Nurse or Enhanced Nurse delivering person‑centred care to adults with intellectual disabilities. You will work within the BEO Adult Services in Knocknacarra, County Galway, supporting individuals to live independent, valued lives in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, health assessments and medication management for adults supported by the service.
• Act as a key worker and advocate, promoting independence and skill development.
• Support individuals in day‑centre, residential, respite and community‑outreach settings, including in‑home visits.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and community resources.
• Adapt support approaches to meet the changing needs of each person and their families.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (or Enhanced Nurse) with a commitment to community‑based care.
• Innovative, creative and motivated with a flexible, adaptable attitude.
• Willingness to work across residential, day‑centre and home‑based settings.
• Strong communication skills to build partnerships with service users and families.
