Staff Nurse – General – Older Persons Residential Services (Cork)

About the role

The Health Service Executive (HSE) South West is recruiting a Staff Nurse (General) to work within Older Persons Residential Services across the Cork North & East and Cork South & West areas. The position is open to both HSE and non‑HSE applicants and offers a permanent contract on either a part‑time or whole‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to older residents in a residential setting.
• Administer medication and monitor patient health status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to HSE policies.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training activities.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse with current NMBI registration.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Commitment to delivering person‑centred care for older adults.
• Ability to work flexibly across the designated Cork regions.
