Staff Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team at Haven Bay Care Centre in Kinsale. You will work closely with the Director of Care and Clinical Nurse Manager to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care for our elderly residents.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior nursing staff across all duties and maintain professional and ethical standards.
• Adhere to NMBI guidelines and the Misuse of Drugs Act when administering medical preparations.
• Deliver induction training to new nursing and care staff.
• Ensure each resident receives individualized assessments, care plans, and holistic nursing care.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Supervise and allocate duties to care assistants while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Required profile

• Experience working with elderly residents.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
• Good knowledge of HIQA standards.
• Hold a valid NMBI decision letter and a valid NMBI PIN.
