Staff Nurse – Residential/Respite Services

About the role

St. Aidan's Services is seeking experienced, motivated and organised Staff Nurses to join our Residential/Respite Services team. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live full, meaningful lives within their community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Residential Manager/Person in Charge with the day‑to‑day operation of the service.
• Deliver high‑quality nursing care tailored to each individual's needs.
• Promote a person‑centred, human‑rights‑based approach, ensuring individuals are involved in decisions about their care.
• Support health, wellbeing and skill‑development of service users.
• Encourage community engagement and new interests.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure policies and procedures are followed.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Ireland (RNID, RPN, RGN).
• Post‑qualification experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Availability to work across a seven‑day roster, including days, nights and weekends.
• Full driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Excellent organisational and record‑keeping skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Basic computer literacy.
