Stakeholder Manager

About the role

The Stakeholder Manager will lead the development and execution of strategic engagement plans for key stakeholders across Ireland’s energy sector. Reporting to the Head of Customer and Stakeholder Engagement, you will work closely with the Corporate Services Directorate and a range of subject‑matter experts to ensure alignment with EirGrid’s ambitious grid transformation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver strategic plans to engage with key strategic stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive the implementation of the Stakeholder Engagement Framework.
• Manage the internal Stakeholder Engagement Forum and coordinate stakeholder events.
• Conduct stakeholder research and analysis to inform engagement activities.
• Oversee the regulatory Stakeholder Engagement Initiative (NSEE Panel).
• Support statutory stakeholder engagement and liaison with representative bodies.
• Coordinate strategic messaging with policy and PR teams.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on stakeholder engagement initiatives to senior management.
• Manage team performance, tenders, and supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Proven ability to deliver strategic stakeholder engagement plans.
• Experience building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of the energy sector and regulatory environment.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Capability to analyse stakeholder data and translate insights into action.
