Strategic Sourcing Manager – Food (Hybrid, Dublin)

About the role

We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead procurement for food categories, focusing on fresh and short‑shelf‑life products, within a fast‑moving, commercially driven environment in Dublin.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities across defined food categories, especially fresh and short‑shelf‑life items.
• Develop and implement category and supplier strategies that balance cost, quality, continuity and operational needs.
• Run end‑to‑end procurement processes, including tendering, negotiation and contract award.
• Build and maintain long‑term supplier relationships and performance management frameworks.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, finance and international teams to ensure supply continuity and efficiency.
• Use market insights to identify commercial and value‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing or category management, preferably within food, FMCG, wholesale, contract catering or retail.
• Exposure to fresh or perishable product categories is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Commercially minded and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• CIPS qualification beneficial but not essential.
