Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Procurement & Supplier Management

About the role

Verizon is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver total value across the enterprise. You will manage the end‑to‑end sourcing process, from spend analysis to contract administration, ensuring the right materials and services are obtained at optimal price, quality, and risk levels.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct spend analysis, market research, and supplier due diligence.
• Develop sourcing strategies, manage RFX processes, and evaluate bids.
• Negotiate contracts and oversee contract administration.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships.
• Lead cross‑functional teams through strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Analyze financial and business data to support supplier selection and cost‑of‑ownership assessments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within a large organization.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with financial data analysis.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and handle multiple categories.
