Supply Chain Manager – Galway

About the role

Our client, a developer of minimally invasive medical devices, is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for its Galway site. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will lead end‑to‑end material flow, ensuring seamless supply from supplier receipt to finished‑goods delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials and components, overseeing receipt, storage, labeling, segregation and expiry management.
• Coordinate production scheduling with Operations, Production Planning and Quality Assurance to align material availability with demand.
• Issue and manage purchase orders, supervise supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and service agreements, and monitor delivery performance.
• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the ERP system, ensuring accurate master data and leveraging analytics for decision‑making.
• Participate in S&OP processes, drive KPI performance such as OTIF and supplier performance, and proactively mitigate supply‑chain risks.
• Develop and manage a growing supply‑chain team, fostering collaboration with commercial, operations and customer stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in materials, supply chain or inventory management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
