Tax Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to join our Europe Finance team. You will work across multiple European jurisdictions, supporting a dynamic international trading business where tax considerations are central to commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax compliance obligations (Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Dividend Withholding Tax, Financial Transaction Taxes, Stamp Duties, Transfer Pricing) across several European countries.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all tax filings and monitor legislative changes for business impact.
• Support year‑end financial reporting, audit processes, tax disclosures, and respond to tax authority enquiries.
• Maintain and strengthen internal tax controls, policies, and procedures.
• Provide tax advice to business units, HR, and payroll on employment tax, PAYE, and global mobility matters.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Contribute to finance and ERP transformation initiatives and assist with expansion into new jurisdictions and product lines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in tax compliance or advisory.
• Qualified Tax Advisor (AITI/CTA) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong experience in Irish corporate tax and tax accounting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tax heads across complex organisations or jurisdictions.
• Deep understanding of tax governance, internal controls, and working with external advisers.
• Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
