Tax Analyst

About the role

Citi is seeking a Tax Analyst to join its Dublin team. This trainee‑professional position offers exposure to global tax compliance within a leading financial institution. You will work closely with tax, finance and securities operations teams to ensure accurate reporting and filing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, accounting, filing and reporting of the company’s tax liabilities.
• Support income‑tax filing and related requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Participate in managing payments to tax authorities in line with applicable regulations.
• Contribute to process‑efficiency improvements within the tax function.
• Provide guidance on tax procedures and concepts to internal stakeholders.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, policies and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of U.S. tax information reporting rules for both U.S. and non‑U.S. persons.
• Familiarity with securities operations and workflows (back‑office and middle‑office) and related business areas such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, settlements and reconciliation.
• Ability to analyse factual information and make evaluative judgments.
• Strong written communication skills, with sensitivity to diverse audiences.

Required skills

• Understanding of IRS Forms W‑9, W‑8, 1099 and 1042‑S and their reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of FATCA and CRS compliance requirements.
