Tax Manager EMEA (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

AXIS Capital is seeking a Tax Manager for the EMEA region on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will join a global finance team, working across direct and indirect tax matters while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage corporate income tax compliance for all EMEA entities.
• Support quarterly and annual US GAAP tax provision and budgeting activities.
• Ensure indirect tax return filing and payment compliance for Irish entities and their branches.
• Review work performed by finance teams in India, resolve queries and escalations.
• Maintain relationships with third‑party outsource providers and internal departments such as Finance, Legal, and HR.
• Provide commercially focused tax advice to internal and external customers across all tax heads.
• Ensure compliance with local transfer‑pricing regulations and support related projects.
• Assist with tax initiatives including BEPS 2/GLoBE, withholding taxes, group financing and transfer pricing.
• Respond to auditor and revenue‑authority queries in a timely manner.
• Contribute to tax‑related training for other departments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate income tax compliance within the EMEA region.
• Knowledge of US GAAP tax provision and budgeting.
• Familiarity with Irish indirect tax compliance.
• Experience reviewing and guiding finance teams located offshore.
• Ability to manage relationships with external service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Understanding of transfer‑pricing regulations and related documentation.
• Experience with tax projects such as BEPS 2/GLoBE, withholding taxes, and group financing.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with auditors and tax authorities.
