Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a progressive, medium‑sized accounting and tax advisory firm. Reporting to the Tax Partner, you will lead a small team and deliver both advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of SME clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients, handling tax compliance and consultancy projects.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while expanding your external network.
• Assist in tax group administration, including work‑in‑progress tracking, billing, and fee collection.
• Collaborate with Partners, Directors and Managers on tax consultancy engagements.
• Liaise with other departments to identify and implement tax planning opportunities for existing clients.

Required profile

• Qualified Tax Professional and/or qualified accountant.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all tax heads.
• Prior managerial experience at assistant‑manager or manager level.
• Proven ability to manage and develop junior staff.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
