Tax Operations Manager – Controllership (12-month Fixed Term)

About the role

The Controllership Tax Operations Manager will lead the end‑to‑end execution of income‑tax compliance for the UK, Ireland and other European entities. Based in Dublin on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, the role ensures alignment with internal deadlines, collaborates with external advisors and drives operational excellence across the Tax Centre of Value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Income Tax Compliance calendar, coordinating inputs from Country Controllers, Global Tax Group and other stakeholders.
• Prepare and compile annual tax computations and year‑end tax packages for multiple entities, ensuring timely submission to tax advisors.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors, responding to queries and providing accurate data.
• Research, document and monitor tax positions, emerging developments and their business impact.
• Calculate quarterly Effective Tax Rate and produce quarterly tax forecasts.
• Oversee preliminary tax payments, monthly tax reconciliations and true‑up submissions.
• Optimize resource allocation, safeguard financial record integrity and uphold internal controls.
• Coach and develop team members, drive knowledge‑sharing and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop high‑performing teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex tax concepts to non‑specialists.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting standards and tax compliance processes.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS.
• In‑depth knowledge of US GAAP.
