Team Leader – Person‑Centred Care

About the role

We are seeking an empathetic Team Leader to provide hands‑on support to individuals with acquired brain injuries while guiding a team of Rehabilitation Assistants. Based in Ellensborough, Co. Dublin, you will work closely with service users to help them achieve meaningful goals and regain independence, and collaborate with the Local Service Manager to ensure smooth service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusting, respectful relationships with service users and their families.
• Act as a Keyworker, delivering tailored, person‑centred support.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care reviews and planning.
• Supervise Rehabilitation Assistants and support team development.
• Plan staff rotas that balance service user needs and fairness.
• Lead audits, risk assessments, and working groups to uphold service excellence.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional learning.

Required profile

• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a patient, calm approach.
• Passion for supporting people with acquired brain injuries to live independently.
• Ability to inspire and mentor a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Relevant third‑level qualification in Human Services (Health & Social Care) or progress towards it.
• Full driving licence for community access.
• Minimum 2 years experience in residential or community‑based social care.
• Solid IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word.

What we offer

• Specified Purpose (maternity‑leave) Fixed‑term contract, full‑time 39 hours per week.
• Salary range €37,348 – €53,596, dependent on experience.
