Theatre Nurse – Staff, Scrub, Circulating & Recovery

About the role

We are seeking highly motivated Theatre Nurses to join a dynamic team caring for post‑surgical patients at Mater Private in Cork. The role involves promoting best practice, delivering high‑quality nursing care and providing clinical expertise across theatre, scrub, circulating, recovery and anaesthetics areas.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and care for patients throughout the surgical pathway, including post‑operative recovery.
• Provide clinical expertise and support to the theatre team as a role model.
• Support colleagues in achieving departmental Critical Success Factors.
• Foster a culture of openness and effective communication.
• Maintain personal professional development and stay current with theatre practices.

Required profile

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or equivalent.
• Minimum two years post‑graduate acute care nursing experience in a theatre setting.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of theatre practices.
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication abilities.
