Trainee Accountant

About the role

Jabil is looking for a motivated Trainee Accountant to join its finance team in Bray. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in monthly accounting, quarterly forecasting and general finance duties while supporting senior accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and review the general ledger for accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and quarterly forecasts.
• Collect, sort and analyse data for financial statements, tax reports and other regulatory filings.
• Maintain ledgers and ensure compliance with accounting principles.
• Communicate key financial information to functional areas and support internal and external reporting.

Required profile

• Third‑level degree or equivalent with a commitment to obtain an Accountancy qualification in Ireland.
• Strong analytical ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions.
• Effective written communication for business correspondence across all organisational levels.
• Ability to summarise and present information to managers and clients.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Basic knowledge of SAP (beneficial but not essential).
