Trainee Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Trainee Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will gain exposure to all departments and support the financial operations of a fast‑growing asset finance company.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Perform day‑end reporting and bank transaction reconciliations.
• Update and reconcile nominal ledger and sales ledger accounts.
• Analyse company overheads and assist with external reporting packs.
• Prepare data for management and statutory accounts.

Required profile

• Completed studies for a business or finance qualification.
• Previous experience in a finance team is desirable but not essential.
• Studying or planning to study for an accounting qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to plan and prioritise work.
• Positive, enthusiastic, can‑do attitude and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
