Verification Officer (Part‑time Fixed‑term)

About the role

SGS is seeking a Verification Officer to join its National Driver Licence Service (NDLS) centre in Limerick. This is a fixed‑term, part‑time position focused on processing driving licence applications while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process licence applications within defined timeframes, adhering to Identity Validation, Document Validation and NDLS business rules.
• Apply due diligence to all documents, image captures and signature uploads using the NDLS Front Office Solution.
• Follow guidelines for Dual Screen Technology and Front Office Solution usage.
• Complete mandatory on‑site and virtual training, keep accurate training records and submit sign‑offs.
• Report serious discrepancies, security or data breaches to the Regional Supervisor and relevant security teams.
• Comply with SGS Code of Integrity, Equality & Diversity policies, and company Uniform, Mobile Phone and Integrity policies.
• Travel to other NDLS centres when required and work Saturdays as part of a fair roster rotation.

Required profile

• Leaving Certificate and/or FETAC Level 5 certificate or higher.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience dealing with the public.
• Fluent English speaker (Irish language skills are an advantage).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
