Warehouse Operative & Relief Delivery Driver

About the role

Sheridans Cheesemongers is seeking a motivated individual to join the team as a Warehouse Operative and Relief Delivery Driver. You will work in a fast‑paced food warehouse handling both ambient and refrigerated products, ensuring high quality standards while also delivering goods to customers and suppliers when required.

Key responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders to exacting standards, palletise and wrap pallets according to run sheets.
• Maintain and rotate stock in both ambient and refrigerated environments, following FIFO procedures.
• Record all stock movements in the Intact system, including receipts, location changes and scrap.
• Perform daily waste management, batch recording and ensure food safety compliance with HACCP policies.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks, keep the delivery vehicle clean and load goods safely for transport.
• Support warehouse housekeeping, waste disposal and occasional deep‑cleaning tasks.
• Assist with stocktaking, weekly spot checks and ad‑hoc duties as directed by the Team Leader or Manager.

Required profile

• Valid driving licence (required for relief driver duties).
• Ability to work independently, stay motivated and remain calm under pressure.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety‑first practices.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (certified forklift driver desirable).
• Valid driving licence.
