Welding Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Welding Engineer to join our Quality Department, reporting to the Quality Manager. The role focuses on ensuring welding processes meet international standards and supporting continuous improvement across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all tasks defined in ISO14731 Annex B to support the company’s management systems.
• Coordinate welding management activities and maintain relevant documentation.
• Prepare and deliver reports using company equipment such as computers, digital cameras and NDT tools.
• Utilise computer‑based systems including CAD, BAAN, LIKV and LIDA, as well as standard Office software.
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners as required.
• Investigate quality, production and welding issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Support ISO9001, ISO 3834‑2, EN1090 and other certifications.
• Assist engineers and inspectors, keep inspection records, and manage welder certification and testing.
• Monitor welding quality continuously, report KPIs and conduct weld testing (visual, leak testing, etc.).
• Produce Welding Procedure Qualification Reports, Welding Procedure Specifications and related documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Certification as a European Welding Technologist (EWT/IWT) according to ISO14731.
• Knowledge of ISO14731, ISO9001, ISO 3834‑2, EN1090 and related welding standards.
• Experience in welding engineering, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
