Wind Turbine Technician

About the role
As a Wind Turbine Technician you will ensure that wind turbines operate safely and efficiently across our Irish sites. This hands‑on, field‑based position offers technical variety, autonomy and the chance to work with cutting‑edge renewable energy technology.
Key responsibilities
- Perform service, maintenance and repair tasks on wind turbines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
- Carry out fault‑finding and produce accurate technical reports.
- Work at heights in compliance with safety rules, site procedures and environmental standards.
- Participate in a weekend emergency call‑out rota as part of a close‑knit technical team.
Required profile
- Qualified electrician or holder of an Electrical Engineering / Marine Electrotechnology qualification.
- Full clean Irish Category B driving licence.
- Physically fit and able to pass a Working at Heights medical.
- Valid Safe Pass card.
- Flexibility for weekend work, evenings and occasional nationwide travel.
- Residence within 50 minutes of Bantry (ideally within 45 minutes).
Required skills
- Electrical troubleshooting.
- Mechanical troubleshooting.
- Fault diagnosis on turbine systems.
- Working at heights certification.
- Safe Pass certification.
