Accessories Buyer – Retail

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accessories Buyer to join a leading Irish retail organisation. Reporting to the Head of Buying, you will shape product ranges, manage supplier relationships and drive commercial performance across a diverse portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned product categories to achieve sales, margin and stock targets.
• Develop commercially successful ranges aligned with customer trends and business goals.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements while maintaining strong supplier partnerships.
• Identify new product opportunities and drive innovation within the category.
• Analyse sales, stock and margin data to maximise profitability and mitigate risk.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to keep the offering competitive.
• Oversee category budgets and support pricing and promotional initiatives.
• Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, e‑commerce and retail teams to grow the category.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ buying experience in a fast‑paced FMCG or retail environment.
• Proven track record of managing product categories and supplier relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales, margin and commercial performance targets.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with experience interpreting sales and stock data.
• Commercially focused with excellent communication and stakeholder management.
