Accommodation Executive

About the role

The Accommodation Executive will be responsible for managing and placing FIT and group hotel accommodation for Abbey’s Destination Experts division in Ireland. Based in Dublin and reporting to the Group Accommodation Manager, the role balances timely service delivery with revenue optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Place all accommodation requests (FIT, group, online) within agreed service level timeframes.
• Manage group and FIT allocations, produce monthly utilisation reports and recommend actions.
• Request and confirm accommodation via phone or email, ensuring contract terms meet group and FIT requirements.
• Agree FIT close‑outs with hotels, update internal systems and coordinate with the IS department.
• Monitor allocation levels, request additional FIT inventory when needed.
• Liaise with internal account handlers to resolve overbooking situations and deliver optimal client outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, conduct hotel inspections and keep records up to date.
• Provide weekly/daily updates to key suppliers through the company system and respond to queries promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel accommodation placement for FIT and group travel.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Commercial awareness to maximise revenue yield.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
