Account Director

About the role

Apleona Ireland is seeking an experienced Account Director to lead key client accounts within its integrated facilities management business. This full‑time, hybrid position combines on‑site client interaction with remote work, ensuring high‑quality service delivery across diverse sectors such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, education and commercial enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, overseeing service delivery to meet performance, quality and financial targets.
• Monitor and report on KPIs and SLAs, preparing regular performance dashboards for senior stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards.
• Lead, mentor and develop account teams, coordinating cross‑functional resources with operations, technical and commercial colleagues.
• Develop strategic account plans, identify growth opportunities and support bid and proposal activities.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and contract performance to achieve revenue and margin objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in account management with a track record of building long‑term client relationships.
• Demonstrated team leadership, coaching and performance management abilities.
• Background in sales or account growth, including bid support and revenue target achievement.
• Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple workstreams in complex environments.
• Experience in facilities management, property services or related sectors is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills at senior executive level.
• Solid financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and contract management.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid model across multiple sites with strong organisational skills.
