Account Executive – Commercial (SMB)

About the role

Notion is looking for an Account Executive in Dublin to lead new customer acquisition and expansion within the Commercial (SMB) segment. The role requires a full‑cycle seller who can conduct structured discovery calls, deliver compelling demos, and navigate both technical and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Build net‑new pipeline with an outbound‑first mindset and maintain high‑velocity execution.
• Own the entire sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, solution alignment, demoing, stakeholder management, negotiation, and close.
• Run high‑quality discovery calls to uncover business outcomes and technical requirements, translating them into clear value narratives.
• Deliver live demos and tailored storytelling, including light solution design (workspace architecture, permissions, rollout approach, integrations).
• Navigate commercial‑stage requirements such as security, legal, and procurement with cross‑functional partners.
• Forecast accurately and consistently meet or exceed quota.
• Partner with Solutions, Product, and Marketing to feed customer insights back into the business.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of closing experience in a full‑cycle, quota‑carrying sales role with consistent attainment.
• Experience selling to technical buyer personas (CIO, CTO, VP Engineering, VP Product) and translating product capabilities into workflow and ROI narratives.
• Strong outbound discipline, pipeline creativity, and ability to run multi‑threaded deals across complex org structures.
• Curiosity and a continuous learning mindset.
